Let them eat what they eat

I’m no poet. I don’t even care for poetry as a literary genre, but I like to have fun with it sometimes. LOL.

Don’t worry about what they’re doing.
Don’t fret about what they’re chewing.
It’s really not what they cook.
It’s only what made you look.

You don’t know what they ate.
Or what’s really on their plate.
You don’t know what anyone eats.
You don’t know when anyone cheats.

You might know what they’re cooking.
Except when you’re not looking.
Carnivore? Maybe. Vegan? Could be.
How would you know? How could you see?

Are you with them in the day?
Are you with them in the night?
Are you with them when they’re away?
Are you with them on a flight?

Posting healthy meals online? Alright. Okay.
But is that what they ate yesterday?
You get a glimpse, only part of the story.
Enough for them to claim the glory

Indeed it’s true, some are real.
They’re doing good, they’re the real deal.
So, please be inspired when that’s the case.
But don’t blindly hold others in your good grace.

Be the boss, the king, the prince, the queen.
Let go of the ones who long to be seen.
Everybody’s doing what they wanna do.
You make sure you’re doing you.

Don’t obsess, don’t compare.
Save your power, you’ve none to spare.
Your power’s for you and only you.
This is what flavors your healthy stew.

Let them eat what they eat.
Whether it’s brains or wheat.
Concentrate on your own health goals.
Be it burgers, beans or buddha bowls.

In the mood for poetry? Here’s another “poem” I wrote a while back. Give it a read. LOL.
